Job Summary
Responsible for completing laundry services according to set standards and procedures. Receive and process soiled linens, uniforms, and miscellaneous items to be cleaned, pressed, folded, stacked, wrapped, and made useable again. Ensure timely return of products to various clients.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$16.74 per hour
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent.
Work Hours
7:00am-1:00pm, Monday-Friday (1/2 hour lunch)
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
1. Ability to walk and stand for 6-8 hours per day
2. Ability to lift 35 lbs.
3. Ability to push/pull up to 80 lbs.
4. Ability to bend, stoop, twist; ability to climb ladders and stairs; ability to work above shoulder level for extended periods of time; ability to work around dust, fumes, and environmental irritants.

Special Instructions for Applicants
Extra Help employees may only work up to 28 hours per week for all University employment. Employees are only paid for hours worked and do not qualify for most benefits including health insurance and retirement, with Illinois State University. However, Extra Help employees are eligible to participate in the University's supplemental retirement savings plans (403b). Applicable retirement information is provided at the time of hire. There is no guarantee that working as Extra Help will lead to or secure permanent employment. In addition, extra help employees may only work up to 900 hours total during their employment.
