Job Summary
Illinois State University is seeking 1 full time staff for a new innovative collaboration with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services known as the Child Protection Training Academy. The ISU simulation training program will advance the Department’s commitment to experiential learning for child welfare professionals using simulated learning environments that support the application of knowledge, values and skills acquired through training. This is a full-time 12-month term with renewal contingent upon job performance and programmatic need.
The primary function of the Logistics Coordinator (Simulation Technician) of the ISU/ IDCFS Child Protection Training Academy (CPTA) Simulations is to provide technical support, organizational management, assistance with classroom management, and support for the ongoing functions of simulation education.
Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$28.00/hour - $32.00/hour, commensurate with experience.

Required Qualifications
• Requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two years of experience coordinating and scheduling required.
• Working knowledge of video and audio equipment.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated organizational skills in a professional setting.
• Experience in technology troubleshooting and technical expertise.
• Working knowledge of basic database systems such as Microsoft Excel or similar.
• Experience with Microsoft Professional Software Suite such as Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with setting up and operating video conferencing using virtual platforms.
• Experience working within an academic, non-profit, or human service setting.
Work Hours
The core work hours of this position are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday. Position occasionally requires work beyond regular office hours
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Move about in various locations on and off campus as needed to complete day-to-day work
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis
