Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to help plan and manage the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive professional development program for campus staff. This position will provide assistance to but not limited to a wide range of programming and organizational initiatives. These initiatives include program, policy, workforce, and leadership development.
This position works with cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement a campus-wide strategic initiatives and focus on delivery that supports a diverse campus in terms of audience, service, and delivery.
There is considerable responsibility for individual initiative on the part of the incumbent filling this position in assuring that both departmental and campus-wide objectives and priorities are met.

This position is the point for Human Resources learning, which will coordinate with other learning and development managers across all other University divisions. Human Resources is the strategic partner for personnel and staff policy.

Salary Rate / Pay Rate
$4,580/month
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelors or equivalent degree (transcript required - may be unofficial) in a Human Resources, Business, Communication or Organizational/Management field.
2. At least 1.5 years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) professional level work experience in learning & development or human resources experience.
3. Demonstrated experience leading and assessing training in a professional workplace.
4. Proficient in technology applications and web-based training applications and platforms (e.g., Zoom, MSTeams, Web-ex, etc.)
5. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to multi-task problem solve effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Experience with a range of training and dissemination approaches and evaluation of training activities and platforms.
2.Certification in training across an emotional intelligence, personality, or highly regarded training/learning platform
Work Hours
Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with opportunity for flexible and hybrid work in the future
Functional Expectations
Must be able to perform the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:

2. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
3. Effectively communicate on a daily basis through multiple channels.
4. Ability to transport items weighing up to 20 pounds with a cart for special events.

The Civil Service examination for this classification is based on your application materials. If you meet the minimum required qualifications for this position, you will receive a score calculated based on your education and experience, and your name will be placed on the active employment register by exam score.
