Job Summary
Preview Specialists are hired to work primarily in the orientation office during peak times during the summer. These student staff positions interact with both new students and their family members and guests by assisting with check-in procedures. Specialists also organize all files needed for check-in and check-out during each Preview program, as well as staff the Orientation and Training Services office. Specialists who are Spanish speaking or multilingual may be asked to translate for students and families during the Preview program.
Duties include but are not limited to:
-Assist in the preparation of Preview activities and materials
-Assist the Preview Guides in welcoming new students and families to campus during Preview by staffing check-in and help students and families acclimate to the physical campus by providing directions and leading them to sessions around campus
-Proactively provide customer service to guests throughout Preview
-Share knowledge about the University's history, campus resources, and expectations and when appropriate, refer guests to additional resources and campus departments
-Helping Spanish speaking families with above mentioned tasks

Functional Expectations
