Job Summary
The Office of Annual Giving is searching for a talented communication or digital marketing professional to join the annual giving team in our efforts to raise funds to support the people, programs and facilities of Illinois State University.
This person will primarily work with the Sr. Managing Director, Annual Giving and Philanthropy Engagement to execute digital communication strategies designed to raise funds for various annual giving initiatives to support the people and programs of Illinois State University. Tasks include, but are not limited to:
1. Utilizing the ThankView platform to build digital communication appeals to support fundraising campaigns and steward donors.
2. Create, write, and execute video content to be utilized in digital appeals, stewardship or social media platforms.
3. Enter data requests and curate donor lists to engage donor and alumni segments effectively.
4. Provide fundraising event support during stewardship events or Birds Give Back, Illinois State’s day of giving.
5. Write news stories for digital platforms to highlight donor impact or annual giving appeals.
6. Reporting and assessment of ThankView and digital appeal results.
7. Assist in execution of Forever Redbirds giving society courtesies through direct mail and other fulfillment of materials.
8. Utilize the MarketingCloud platform to help build email campaigns and donor journeys to engage, solicit, and steward Illinois State's constituents.
The Office of Annual Giving is charged with raising $2.75 million this year to support students, faculty, programs and facilities at Illinois State University. We raise funds through the generous support of alumni, parents, employees, friend, and students of the University.

Pay Rate
$15/hour
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be a student in good academic and disciplinary standing at Illinois State University.
- Ability to provide or obtain transportation to the Alumni Center for work hours at 1101 N. Main St. Normal, IL
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in supporting and learning fundraising tactics and skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- General computer knowledge and competence, specifically experience with Microsoft Office Suite and digital design platforms.
-Past experience with digital marketing campaigns.
Work Hours
To be determined with the Sr. Managing Director, Annual Giving and Philanthropy Engagement between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work will be on site at the Alumni Center. Requesting a minimum of 15 hours per week with a maximum of 25.
